The Easter holiday period saw a pick up in the number of wildfires and forest fires affecting various parts of Jalisco.

To celebrate arguably the world’s greatest classical composer, Guadalajara’s May Cultural Festival will present Welsh pianist Llŷr Williams performing all of Beethoven’s 32 Piano Sonatas in eight presentations: six of  them at the Teatro Degollado and two at PALCCO in Zapopan.

Artists from all over the world descend on Guadalajara in May for the annual May Cultural Festival, which this year runs from May 7 to 24, and includes 72 events at 30 venues in five municipalities (Guadalajara, Zapopan, Tlaquepaque, Chapala and Lagos de Moreno).
