Mexico’s LGBTQ+ community is in shock and angered after Samantha Gómez Fonseca, 37, a leading trans activist and politician, was found shot to death in a car in Mexico City this week. 

The 14th Annual Ajijic Jewish Film Festival opens Sunday with Max Lewkowicz’s documentary “Fiddler: Miracle of Miracles,” which the New York Times called “a fascinating love letter to ‘Fiddler on the Roof.’”
