Tapatio golf star and former world number one Lorena Ochoa was immortalized in a statue unveiled on Puerto Vallarta’s Malecon on Thursday, December 13.
Designed by Jalisco sculptor Octavio Gonzalez Gutierrez, the statue was commissioned by the state government in recognition of Ochoa’s outstanding career.
Ochoa was present at the unveiling, alongside Jalisco Governor Emilio Gonzalez and State Tourism Secretary Aurelio Lopez Rocha. After thanking both officials for their support, Ochoa went to the Lacoste boutique in Vallarta’s Galerias Mall to meet fans and sign autographs.
