Leopoldo Seifert, Juan Varela and Yanic Gentry shared honors as co-winners of the first annual Copa Porsche sailing regatta held last weekend at Chapala’s Club de Yates. The three young Jalisco-born athletes racked up equal scores to tie for the championship title. 

Seifert captured first place in the Laser Radial class, Varela aced top standing in RS:X sail boarding and Gentry led the field in the Laser Standard category. Perfect weather prevailed throughout the three-day event that attracted more than 120 sailing buffs representing clubs from Jalisco, Nayarit, Nuevo León, Veracruz and Estado de México.
