Guadalajara to host Davis Cup tennis tie

The Complejo Polideportivo Metropolitano de Tenis will host Mexico’s second round Davis Cup match against Guatemala from April 6-9, 2017.

This is the first time the metro-area tennis center, adjoining the Parque Metropolitano in Zapopan, will have hosted a tie in this historic international competition.

Mexico currently competes in the Americas Zone Group II.  The country last competed in the World Group (top 16 nations) in 1997.

Mexico were Davis Cup runners-up in 1962.
