Astros, 0-2, face uphill battle in final

The Astros de Jalisco lost their first two home games of the National Professional Basketball League (LNBP) championship final against Fuerza Regia of Monterrey on Wednesday and Thursday, by scores of 101-111 and 73-90.

The Astros reached the grand final after defeating the Soles de Mexicali in five games to win the LNBP Western Division title. After loosing their opening games, the Astros face a daunting prospect of trying to get back on level terms on Fuerza Regia’s home turf. Fuerza Regia, are the current LNBP champions, are heavily favored to retain their title. The next three games in the best-of-seven series are scheduled in Monterrey on November 21, 22 and 24.  If needed, the teams will return to Guadalajara December 3 and 4 for games six and seven.
