The Chivas’ women’s team has one important game left on their calendar, even though the ladies were eliminated from this season’s Liga Mx Femenil playoffs at the quarter-final stage last month.

On Wednesday, June 12, the Chivas Femenil will take on the current European champions, the mighty FC Barcelona, in a friendly game at the Akron Stadium in Guadalajara.

The game will take place just over two weeks after Barcelona defeated Lyon in the UEFA Women’s Champions League final.  The Spanish side has some of the best players in the world on its roster, including the past two winners of the Balón de Oro (Europe’s top individual award), Aitana Bonmatí and Alexia Putellas.
