Common Ground Fellowship at Little Chapel
The myths of our culture tell a great many things about the Christmas holiday, but what, actually, is the truth about the person of Jesus? Join us this Sunday as Dr. Ted Rogers explores “What we THOUGHT we knew about Christmas”. After this service, we will, as a congregation, pull together our Christmas despensas bags to go out to the poorer families in our lakeside community. All are invited to participate. Afterwards, we share a meal together. Common Ground Fellowship at Little Chapel is a bilingual, dynamic, friendly, and all-inclusive place to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We believe that the church exists primarily for the benefit of those outside it as we seek to make the love of Christ known to others by serving our community in word and actions.
Donations of food and clothing for our numerous missions along the shores of Lake Chapala are always gladly accepted via our big purple box in front of the Chapel. Saturday’s car wash fundraiser for Mam Cleo’s boys’ home is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sundays, we offer several times to gather: Beginning at 9 a.m., there is worship and hymn music followed by a 10 a.m. gathering for ACTS: Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication. Formal worship service begins at 11 a.m. and includes a children’s church.

Lake Chapala Baptist
The Christmas story reveals God’s love as a gift, freely given. Heaven’s greatest gift was offered to a weary, broken, and undeserving world. In the quiet birth of Christ, God gave Mary grace by lovingly choosing and empowering her. When fear and confusion overwhelmed Joseph, he was given reassurance through a dream. He showed that divine love seeks the lowly when the angels appeared to the shepherds. Even the Magi experienced God’s love through guidance, leading them from afar to worship. Each encounter shows the same truth: God’s love initiates, invites, and gives freely and personally to His children.
