Since launching his campaign Sunday in the Plaza Guadalajara, Cardenas has been racing across the municipality, meeting and greeting voters in the San Juan de Dios market, Mercado de Abastos, Chamber of Commerce and Santa Tere neighborhood.
He has already vowed to help 34,000 unemployed Tapatios find work, remove parking meters and make Guadalajara a “green city.” More promises are surely to come. His biggest problem: he trails in the polls by more than 15 percent..
