It required 1,900 liters of paint to finish the murals, which cover 900 square meters of the building. The work is the first stage of a project called “Arte en tu Ciudad” (Art in your City), a project that seeks to involve locals in the betterment of their barrios.
Inaugurating the work last Sunday, Guadalajara Mayor Ramiro Hernandez highlighted the importance of communities that “work as a team” to overcome obstacles and improve their surroundings
Guadalajara neighborhoods next on the project’s agenda for artistic intervention will be El Sauz and Santa Teresita.
