The Glorieta Minerva and the Avenida Vallarta arches were lit up in spectacular style this week in the latest stage of the project to provide nocturnal illumination of Guadalajara’s most important architectural landmarks.
So far, the city government has spent $US1.7 million on illuminating 14 buildings and monuments, including the Government Palace, Degollado Theater and Metropolitan Cathedral. Eleven more sites are planned.
