Kenyan Benjamin Kiplimo wins the men’s category of the Guadalajara marathon Sunday, October 18, in a time of two hours, 17 minutes and 31 seconds.
Tomas Luna Dominguez of Veracruz finished in second place, more than three minutes behind the winner. Last year’s champion, Christopher Kipyego of Kenya, was third. In the women’s race, 42-year-old Dulce Maria Rodriguez, a three-time Olympian from Toluca, won for the second consecutive year, holding off two African runners in a close finish.
