A series of events has been planned to honor El Parián, one of Tlaquepaque’s most iconic landmarks, which celebrates its 140th birthday this month.
El Parián is the famous dining area that spans a sizable part of Tlaquepaque’s downtown zone. Various restaurants share the space, which features an open-air central space, complete with a bandstand. Events, including free mariachi concerts with top-rated groups such as the Nuevo Tecalitlán, are planned daily from Wednesday, July 11 through Sunday, July 15. The restaurants mostly sell traditional Mexican fare.
