Integrity of Agua Azul Park to remain intact

The Jalisco State government  has declared the Agua Azul Park in downtown Guadalajara a Natural Protected Area, meaning that real estate developers will never be able to build on the site.

The designation also restricts certain kinds of developments in zones bordering the park.

The tranquil 16-hectare space contains various species of trees, a lake, an aviary, an orchid pavilion, a butterfly sanctuary and a small collection of animals.
