The Agua Azul Park in downtown Guadalajara has a new educative space dedicated to plants that thrive in arid conditions.
The area contains around 30 plants from Mexico, Africa and South America. The space is dedicated to Raymond Ramirez Delgadillo, an esteemed professor and researcher from the Universidad de Guadalajara who died in 2011. The Agua Azul Park, located at Avenida 16 de Septiembre and Campesino, also contains a butterfly sanctuary, orchid house and aviary, as well as a collection of small animals.
