Plaza Andares, arguably Guadalajara’s most upmarket mall, has been forced to close some of its “common areas” for non-compliance with Covid-19 sanitary regulations.
Inspectors at the mall reported “saturation” in many of the shopping aisles and seating areas, while also noting that the parking area was above the mandatory 25 percent full level.
Located at the convergence of Avenidas Patria and Acueducto in Zapopan, the mall includes department stores Palacio de Hierro and Liverpool, as well as many high-end, brand name clothing stores and a range of quality restaurants.
