New study courses to open at UDG Chapala

CU-Chapala, the Chapala branch of the University of Guadalajara (UDG), will introduce new options in study courses for the fall semester of this year.

According to the announcement made public this week by Chapala Mayor Alejandro Aguirre Curiel, prospective students will be able to apply for entry into career studies in coveted fields such as law, business administration and tourism.

Under the UDG calendar B schedule for 2023, classes will begin on Monday, August 14 and run through Friday, December 15.

Aguirre also announced that construction on the permanent CU-Chapala campus is projected to get under way in November. The building site is located on the outskirts of Chapala, on land overlooking the Las Brisas residential subdivision.

CU-Chapala opened its doors last January in a provisional classroom building located in downtown Chapala at Niños Héroes 69. The founding classes of students enrolled for the Calendar A semester are currently pursing degrees in Nursing or Gerontology.
