The 19th Chapala Model Railroad Convention takes place at the Centro Cultural Gonzalez Gallo (old Chapala train station), Friday through Sunday, August 7-9.
Celebrating the 95th anniversary of the Chapala railway station, the convention is the culmination of work by two model railroad clubs: Club Amigos del Ferrocarril Guadalajara and the Amigos del Estacion Chapala Maquina 245.
Model railroad products will be on sale. A presentation will be held on Saturday at 4 p.m. giving kudos to Mexico’s place of honor as the largest promotor of model railroading in Latin America.
Doors are open daily from 10 a.m to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are 20 pesos for adults, 10 pesos for children.
