Chapala Mayor Moisés Anaya delivered his third and final annual report (informe) on government activities during a session of the city council held Tuesday, September 14.
Attendance at the event was limited to members of the council, City Hall department heads and members of the press to comply with Covid-19 health protocols. The 50-minute session was broadcast live and saved for replay on the Gobierno de Chapala Facebook platform.
Anaya gave a brief speech, expressing thanks to his staff and the state government for their support throughout his administration. A video played after the informe highlighted major public works carried out during his administration to improve streets, sports facilities and water and sewage infrastructure, as well as social programs provided to constituents and the management of government finances.
The session concluded with the presentation of “Chapala Ciudad Señorial e Insigne” (Chapala Noble and Distinguished City), the first volume of chronicles compiled by various historians that was published this year.
