Margaritaville senior living coming to Ajijic

The cat is out of the bag.

pg7aOn Monday, April 24, the U.S. based hospitality company Margaritaville and the Levy Holding real estate development outfit headquartered in Guadalajara announced a partnership to develop  Latitude Margaritaville International Lake Chapala, a housing complex geared for people aged 55 and up to be located on the western outskirts of Ajijic.

Although not detailed as such in joint press releases, the license agreement entails a takeover of the faltered La Pueblita senior living facilities. The new project will feature a total of 194 accommodations, including studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, ranging from 430 to 915 square feet, as  well as 1,292 square-foot one-story homes.

The residences highlighted by resort-style amenities and contemporary design elements are set to go on the market this summer with prices starting from $US233,000.
