Authorities focus on tracing Chapala missing persons

Personnel from the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences (IJCF) will assist  relatives of missing persons in the municipality of Chapala during sessions given by the Human Identification Center brigade scheduled for May 30 through June 4 at the Centro Cultural Antigua Presidencia.

pg4The program of structured individual interviews is aimed at collecting data on particular characteristics that are useful for identifying deceased persons held in the IJCF morgue.

In order to take the DNA samples, persons appearing for interviews will be asked to present an official identification and bring photographs of the missing relative, and provide information on his or her physical distinctions such as scars, tattoos, moles, amputations and details revealed in surgical and dental records.
