The Chapala office that issues official certificates of clean criminal records in Mexico has resumed service after a recent closure for remodeling.
It is located at Paseo de los Hijos Ausentes, just off the plaza on the southern perimeter of the municipal market, open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fee for the constancia de no antecedentes penales is 87 pesos, payable on site.
Chapala Mayor Alejandro Aguirre was first in line to get proof as a law-abiding citizen, right after cutting the ribbon to reopen the module on Wednesday, January 17.
