The Delegación Ajijic administration office has issued a plea for residents and out-of-town visitors to refrain from parking on sections of village streets where work related to the installation of the underground cable system is still in progress.
The temporary restrictions apply to streets that have been dug up to lay down the new cable conduits and build concrete connection boxes, as well as where street surfaces and sidewalks are under repair.

In the course of this week, work crews have labored on Calles 16 de Septiembre, Constitución Marcos Castellanos, and Zaragoza, with intervention on Morelos between Calles 16 de Septiembre and Paseo del Lago at the foot of the pier slated to start on Wednesday morning.
Stay up to date by regularly checking the Delegación Ajijic Facebook site for notifications complemented by color-coded maps as guidance.
Navigating central Ajijic by car, bus, or on foot is a hassle these days, causing financial hardship for a number of Pueblo Mágico businesses.
