Chapala Fire Department chief Lorenzo Salazar Guerrero has issued a warning to foreign residents who are being approached for cash donations to support the August 22 celebration of Dia del Bombero.  

A group of around 100 sight-impaired tourists from 14 countries spent a full day in the Chapala area on Tuesday, August 18, experiencing local attractions for their ears, fingertips, noses and taste buds.

The Lake Chapala Society (LCS) this week sealed the deal to buy a lakefront property juxtaposed to the southeast perimeter of its main campus. According to President Ben White, the new add-on will allow the organization to expand services and activities, in line with projections for future growth.

The lakeside Century 21 franchise AccessMex hosted a group of more 140 real estate agents and brokers from five states at the company’s regional summer meeting Friday, August 14 at Ajijic’s Hotel Real.
