US yoga teacher on the lam arrested

A dual U.S. and Mexican citizen suspected of a brutal  murder in Maryland in 2010 was arrested in Guadalajara on December 13, the Montgomery County Department of Police has reported.

pg4bJorge Rueda Landeros, 52, who had been on the FBI’s Most Wanted list for the last 12 years, was working under a false name as a language, yoga and meditation teacher in the city, U.S. authorities said. He is the sole suspect in the 2010 death of his former partner, Sue Marcum, in Bethesda, Maryland in October 2010.

According to a Montgomery County Department of Police press release, earlier this month the FBI Baltimore Field Office received information that Rueda Landeros was likely living in Guadalajara. On December 13, “an operation was coordinated with the Mexico Task Force (Criminal Investigative Agency or AIC) and the Jalisco State Police to apprehend Rueda Landeros, where he was taken into custody without incident,” the release said.
