The newly constructed embassy complex spans over one million square feet, making it one of the largest U.S. embassy campuses globally. Situated on an 8.5-acre site in the New Polanco district, the facility houses over 530,000 square feet of diplomatic operations and accommodates more than 1,400 U.S. and local staff.

Designed to enhance safety, efficiency and accessibility, the modernized embassy also emphasizes environmental sustainability. Features include advanced water-saving systems, rainwater collection, and integration into the city’s reclaimed water infrastructure. The building is pursuing LEED Silver certification for its energy-efficient and eco-friendly elements.
