Mango, that ever-popular oblong fruit, is at the center of an eponymous festival taking place in Plaza Lazaro Cardenas, in the Los Muerto neighborhood of Puerto Vallarta, Saturday, July 1, 4-9 p.m.
A number of local eateries will offer dishes which utilize the sticky, sweet tropical treat. Live music from several bands (representing genres from folclorico to classic rock) will provide the event’s soundtrack from 4 to 9 p.m.
The festival is a fundraiser for local organization the Jay Sadler Project, which will use the the funds to further their charitable works in the Nayarit municipality of Banderas Bay.
