The town of Sayula in southern Jalisco is now home to a brand new boutique hotel and spa.
Built from wood and stone, La Provincia has 13 spacious and finely decorated rooms complete with WiFi internet access, cable TV and even (in some) a jacuzzi. Aside from the bar and restaurant, the hotel boasts its own spa, whirlpool, steam room and gymnasium.
La Provincia is operated by the PH Group, run by Sayula businessman Roman Perez Juarez, who hopes it will boost local tourism.
A pleasant colonial town, Sayula is approximately a 70-minute drive south from Guadalajara, just off the highway to Colima. The town is also home to the famed Ojeda knife company.
