Expo EnArt Tlaquepaque, a biannual trade show featuring a comprehensive range of Mexican crafts, gifts and decorative items, takes place from Tuesday, August 14 through Saturday, August 18.
More than 200 exhibitors from the majority of Mexico’s 31 states usually show up at this popular event in the lively crafts suburb of Guadalajara. Among the media on display will be wood, glass, papier-mâché, jewelry, ceramics, textile, fiber and leather, as well as metalwork in iron, tin and pewter. Although geared primarily to wholesale sales, individuals may also attend the exposition and buy items.
The show is also a great opportunity to see new trends in Mexican design.
Organized by the Tourism Department of the Tlaquepaque municipal government, EnArt is held at the historic Centro Cultural El Refugio, located at Donato Guerra 160, three blocks from the town’s central plaza. Open from 10 a.m. daily.
