San gabriel cleanup continues

Work on cleaning the muddy streets of San Gabriel after the small Jalisco town was flooded out during a recent storm is almost complete, reports Víctor Hugo Roldán, head of Civil Protection in the state.

Hundreds of emergency personnel have been deployed in the town to quickly reestablish all essential services.

In addition, state authorities have sent specialist medical staff and psychologists to the town, while veterinarians have been called in to attend to animals affected by the flooding.  Supplies donated by various groups and institutions have also been pouring in.
