For everyone living in or visiting the state of Jalisco, wearing a face mask in public looks likely to become a regular part of everyday life – at least for the foreseeable future.
Buying disposable masks are not only chore but also expensive, so cloth masks are the way to go for most people.
Cotton fabric is the best choice for face masks. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), they should contain multiple layers of cloth and fit snugly over one’s mouth and nose while still allowing one to breathe normally.
Ideally, one should only touch the ear straps, and avoid touching the mask once it’s on the face.
