Tiger on the loose

A ten-month-old Benagal tiger that was filmed hot-footing down a Tlaquepaque street last week has been impounded by the Environmental Protection Agency (Profepa).

In the video, which went viral, a man could be seen chasing the tiger and trying to lasso her with a rope.

Profepa inspectors soon identified the property where the tiger was being kept, along with another white tiger. Even though the health of the tigers was fine and most of the paperwork was in order, the owner was missing one important document, and was therefore forced to give up his wild animals.
