What do you do when you are the world’s most sought-after drug kingpin and you suffer from serious health issues?
You build your own hospital, naturally.
Federal authorities say they have identified a hospital in a small community in the Jalisco municipality of Villa Purificación financed by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes (“El Mencho”), the leader of the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generation (CJNG), a man with a $US10-million bounty on his head.
The health of the 54-year-old cartel boss has deteriorated in recent years, many reports suggest. Authorities say he suffers from kidney failure. This condition has been hindered by his having to hide out in remote locations, away from large cities and the superior treatment options they provide.
