Lake claims drowning victim

Officers from Chapala’s Civil Protection and Firefighters Unit (PCyB) completed a search and rescue mission on the afternoon of Saturday, March 1, recovering the body of a man who drowned in Lake Chapala, about 200 meters offshore near Santa Cruz.

San Antonio no parking ban revived

Motorists, beware: Chapala’s traffic department is stepping up enforcement of the no-parking ban on the north side of Calle Ramón Corona in San Antonio Tlayacapan. This restriction applies to the block between San José and Independencia.

Caracara rescue

A crested caracara, also known as the Mexican eagle, was found near the entrance to Chapala’s Cristianía Park, in front of the Acapulquito restaurant zone, on the afternoon of Saturday, February 22.
