Damaged fountain under repair

Employees from Chapala’s Public Works Department are making headway to restore the stone fountain at the city’s main intersection that was damaged on March 11 when it was hit by a loaded cargo truck that had lost brake power while en route from Guadalajara to Ajijic.

Man killed in bar brawl

A 29 year-old man was stabbed to death during a brawl that occurred in a popular downtown Chapala watering hole on the night of Saturday, March 20. A 17-year-old was also injured in the fray.
