Martes de Musica
Free classical performances by talented musicians are held each Tuesday at the Degollado Theater. No tickets are sold – just turn up. August 19: Classical musicians from San Jose, California, with the Nima Quartet; August 26: recital with flautist Nancy Ulate and invited guests.

Circus of Death
Black light puppet theater company puts on new show that includes elements of Mexican folklore. The genre uses black curtains, a darkened stage and “black lighting” (UV light), paired with fluorescent costumes, to create intricate visual illusions.
