LLT ‘pantomime’ promises music, high spirits & laughter

The next presentation in the Lakeside Little Theatre’s 50th jubilee season is a fun-filled, frivolous and colorful adult musical comedy called “Sinderella.”

The script has been created by Dave McIntosh, based (with some license) on Grimm’s original fairy tale.

“Sinderella” opens on Friday, December 5 and runs through December 16.

This show will be performed in traditional pantomime style. Not to be confused with mime, the origins of pantomime in Europe date back to the Middle Ages, when the Italian Commedia dell’arte was blended with British music hall comedy. The audience is often encouraged to become vocally involved in the action and even to sing along with the performers.

Paul Kloegman is directing the show’s 23 cast members. Ann Swiston has taken on the musical direction, while Heather Hunter is the choreographer.

Call the LLT box office at (376) 766-0954 for tickets for this pre-holiday production at 250 pesos.
