Efrén Gonzalez was awarded first place in the Plein Air Landscape category at the International Watercolor Festival “Rivers of Color” contest held last weekend in Mexico City.
While there, he said that “the IWS contest in Mexico City today was something quite exciting because it was on abstract watercolor paintings. Something I have not done in years. Tomorrow we will be doing still life and portrait. And in the afternoon we will know who the winners are for each category: Plein Air, abstract, portrait and still life. We are all winning already because we have made new friends and connections for future projects. Thanks again to the organizers and everyone involved in making it happen.”
