A large audience of classical music lovers listened in rapt delight to the enchanting music of the gifted Medina-Gracián Guitar Duo, presented by ¡Viva la Musica! at the Auditorio de la Ribera on Sunday, August 31.

Lakeside Little Theatre’s 50th season is off to a great start with the bittersweet and sentimental comedy, “The Last Romance,” expertly directed by Ann Swiston.

Rabid Chihuahua Productions presented the debut of the locally produced film “Thriller in Ajijic” with a tongue-in-cheek opening staged Sunday, August 23 at the town plaza.  

Surely the astounding amount of success achieved by Viva la Musica and its supporters in nurturing and supporting talented Mexican music students at university is, if not one of the best kept secrets, certainly one of the least well known achievements in the area.

Lake Chapala met all of Joe and Jenny Smith’s criteria for retirement. Not only were the climate and cost of living better than Indiana, the culture-focused couple were drawn to lakeside by the scope of the local arts scene.

Lakeside Little Theatre (LLT) patrons will remember last season’s charming play “Over The River And Through The Woods.” Director Ann Swiston is now bringing a bittersweet comedy by the same author to the LLT stage.
