Naked donation

As a not-for-profit venture, the Naked Stage Readers Theatre is delighted to announce that they are finally in a position to start donating to the Cruz Roja on a regular basis. They would like to thank their audience for the continued support that has made this donation possible.

Founded in September 2009 to bring quality, affordable shows to Lakeside that might not otherwise be produced, the theater has become so successful that it has not only been able to buy new chairs for the comfort of the audience, but to fulfill its goal to give back to its community in the form of financial aid to the organization that looks after us all – the Cruz Roja.

Working with the suggested Naked Stage donation of only 80 pesos and with some overheads and ongoing expenditures to present a show every month, it has taken longer than expected to begin what the Naked Stage company hopes will be yearly donations to Cruz Roja, something they intended to do from the very outset of their presentations.

Meeting

Lakeside Little Theatre (LLT) holds its annual general meeting on Wednesday, March 20.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the meeting at 11 a.m. Offices up for election this year are first vice president, second vice president and treasurer. Members may request numbered proxy vote forms (limit two per member) from Pat Carroll at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 766-3144.

The president will provide an annual report and board members will comment on their respective departments.

LLT tickets

Beginning next season, Lakeside Little Theatre is making some changes to its production run which may affect what night season ticket holders may choose to attend.

The theater will no longer have a performance on Monday nights, in order to provide a break in the production run for the cast and crew. As a result, opening night will be moved from Saturday to Friday.  Current opening night season ticket subscribers have two choices. They may choose to keep their Saturday night seats, or they may change to retain the same seats on the new Friday opening night.

Please contact Paula McTavish at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 766-2866 as soon as possible to let her know which you would like to do.  If you do not contact McTavish, she will assume that you wish to retain your seats for opening night, which will now be Friday.

The first season ticket sale takes place on Tuesday, March 19, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and for one half hour after the annual general meeting on March 20, so it is important to inform McTavish of your decision before then.
