Now that the delay-plagued search for a musical director has been concluded with the selection of Alondra de la Parra, the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra is changing the face of its administrative leadership too.

The state’s fourth annual cultural festival is held Saturday, August 11 with various free performances in downtown Guadalajara beginning at 11 a.m.
The Jalisco Cultural Secretariat is presenting a series of films at the Guillermo del Toro Theater in the Instituto Cultural Cabañas and the Video Sala of the Ex Convento del Carmen during the month of August from Wednesday to Sunday.
