The first International Festival of Latin American Music is coming to Lakeside.
Lakeside communities will pay tribute to the dearly departed with traditional Dia de Muertos activities and a variety of public happenings that get underway this weekend, continuing through November 2, All Souls Day.
Originally produced in 1995 at the Manhattan Theatre Club off Broadway, A.R. Gurney’s masterpiece “Sylvia” propelled Sarah Jessica Parker into stardom.

“Outside Mullingar,” which opens at Lakeside Little Theater (LLT) Friday, October 21, is a contemporary, romantic comedy set in rural Ireland, guaranteed to bring both laughter and a few tears to audience members.
The Feria Maestros del Arte has produced a quality bound coloring book based on photographs of crafts from 16 artisans who regularly exhibit at the show.
Last weekend at the Bravo Theatre, the Lakeside community was treated to a smorgasbord of nine different scenes, each ranging from five to 15 minutes, featuring 15 actors of varying talents, from retired professionals to absolute newcomers.
