Ajijic Cultural Center director departs in a blaze of glory

The back-to-back inaugurations of a museum display of archeological relics and the newly refurbished theater stage were highlights of the kick-off of a series of special events programmed for the tail end of September by Efren González, out-going director of the Centro Cultural de Ajijic (CCA).

Busy days at Ajijic Cultural Center

Efren Gonzalez is wrapping up his three-year stint as director of the Centro Cultural de Ajijic (CCA) with a full program of special events that will keep gallery spaces and the newly refurbished stage area buzzing with activity from next weekend through the end of the month.

New Chapala venue quickly into action

Following last week’s reopening of Chapala’s former town hall as the Centro Cultural Antigua Presidencia, the new facility will be the venue for a series of special performances listed on this year’s Fiestas Patrias program.

Singing for good causes

Ajijic’s La Bodega restaurant is holding a singing contest to raise funds for the Chapala Red Cross, the local Civil Protection-Fire Department, the School for Special Children (Jocotepec) and Operation Feed (San Juan Cosala).
