Art show

A collective art show featuring 49 artists celebrates the 17th anniversary of the Centro Cultural de Ajijic, with an opening set for Saturday, August 21, 5-8 p.m. Live music by Cristina Trejo. Exhibit continues through September 9. 

Ballet School back

The Escuela de Ballet Clásico del Auditorio de la Ribera has opened enrollment for classes to be held as of August 2 at an alternate venue, with instruction offered to students of all ages. Health protocols will be obligatory. For information, call 331-895-6316.

Dance Classes

• Ballroom dance lessons by Alejandro Ortiz are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3-4 p.m. starting August 3 at the Centro Cultural de Ajijic.

Concert

Cesar Patlan gives a classical guitar concert, Sunday, July 25, 12:30 p.m. at the Centro Cultural Gonzalez Gallo in Chapala.

Theater at LLT

Lakeside Little Theatre’s Ajijic Readers Theatre (ART) presents “Light Sensitive,” written by Jim Geoghan and directed by Dave McIntosh, Friday to Sunday, July 16-18. All performances are at 4 p.m. on The Angel Terrace.

Women in art and culture

Aerial dance, contemporary dance, art, music, wine and more will be on tap at the Antigua Presidencia in Chapala for the third and final Mujeres a Través del Arte y la Cultura event, Saturday, July 10, 6:30 p.m.
