A youth referred to only as “Isaac” who was involved in the deaths of two 15-year-old Guadalajara schoolboys in June last year has been sentenced to spend a maximum seven years in detention after a juvenile court judge found him guilty of kidnapping but not homicide.

Gilberto Abrego Barragán, 26, and Luis Daniel Romero Ríos, 21, are behind bars facing charges of armed robbery and intentional homicide after confessing to their involvement in a violent home invasion that led to the death of elderly Chapala resident Raymond Margolis.
