Guadalajara pro golfer Carlos Ortiz, 23, made a creditable showing in his first PGA event, the Memorial Tournament, held last weekend in Dublin, Ohio.
Carlos Ortiz, the 23-year-old Tapatio golfer who has taken the Web.com Tour (the developmental tour of the PGA Tour) by storm this year, will be in the field at the Memorial Tournament held at the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Ohio from May 29 to June 1 – his first PGA event.
After six successful years at the Guadalajara Country Club, the annual LPGA Lorena Ochoa Invitational will take place this year from November 13-16 at the Club de Golf Mexico in the Tlalpan suburb of Mexico City.
The third annual golf tournament to benefit sufferers of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, takes place at the Flamingos Golf Club outside Nueva Vallarta on Saturday, May 24.
