Canadians pining for more “tastes from home” following their Thanksgiving holiday might wish to head over to the plush Andares mall in Zapopan.
A month-long Sabores de Canada (Flavors of Canada) gastronomic festival began on October 5 at the Palacio Restaurant in the mall’s Palacio de Hierro department store. Held in conjunction with Canada Beef Inc. and McCain Mexico, the festival menu features a range of dishes made with 100-percent Canadian ingredients. Apart from select Canadian beef, diners will find salmon, French Fries, spices, BBQ sauce, a range of imported vegetables, including shiitake mushrooms, maple syrup, whiskey and more.
The festival runs through November 5 at all Palacio de Hierro restaurants in Mexico. The Guadalajara branch is open until 10 p.m. Plaza Andares is located at the corner of Patria and Acueducto.
