Lakeside area motorists looking for a mechanic shop to take cars and trucks for inspection to comply with Jalisco’s obligatory emission testing program will find an authorized station at Taller Mecánico y Hologramas, Zaragoza 375 in central Chapala, open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., telephone 765-2141.
Head mechanic Carlos Espinosa says it takes about 20 minutes complete the test and issue the current Verificación Vehicular sticker. If the vehicle doesn’t pass he will waive the 300 peso fee and take it in for whatever servicing is needed if the client so wishes.
