Rock in the New Year at El BarCo where the young at heart will kick up their heels to the rousing tunes of the TallBoys Band , 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
In addition to its regular menu, the popular Ajijic watering hold is preparing a special dinner spread for the festive occasion: Beef Bourguignon, with potatoes and green salad and chocolate cake for dessert. Bubbly for toasting in the New Year will be available by the bottle or glass. Breakfast tacos will be offered after midnight.
The Thursday, December 31 gig features David Truly on lead guitar, Flip Nicholson on keyboard, Milton Bass on bass, Gary Trego on pedal steel and Dale Hetler keeping the beat on drums, with guest artist Mike Leisenbach playing sax. This will be one of the band’s final lakeside appearances prior to riding into the sunset next March.
