Cooks kick off new year with veggie dishes

The first competition in 2016 of the Culinary Arts Society of Ajijic (CASA) on Monday, January 18 at La Mision will see members entering in the Category A main dish contest experimenting and rehearsing their best vegetarian recipes. In the Category B competition, members will present their best mousses, puddings and custards.

CASA’s holiday meeting in December was held at Manix in Ajijic. In addition to the appetizers and holiday desserts, the restaurant’s staff served a ham and roast chicken buffet.
